President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.

"From now on, May 9 will be Europe Day - in the European Union, as well as in Ukraine. Today we are meeting in Kyiv on this special day because Kyiv is the perfect place to celebrate Europe Day.

"Every day, the brave people of Ukraine protect the very values that are the basis of the European Union," the President said.
