EU is ready to provide Ukraine with one million shells for artillery, - Zelensky
The European Union is ready to provide Ukraine with one million artillery shells.
President Zelensky said this during a joint briefing with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"Every day Ukraine demonstrates the effectiveness of our defence against Russian aggression. Every downed terrorist missile, every success of our soldiers in repelling Russian assaults is proof that we can defeat this aggressor," the Head of State said.
At the same time, Zelensky stressed the importance of proportionality between Ukraine's capabilities and those of Russia.
"In this context, today I thanked Ursula for the readiness of the European Union to provide Ukraine with much-needed ammunition, one million shells for artillery," he added.
Zelensky informed that during his conversation with the President of the European Commission, among other things, the issue of the speed of procurement and delivery of these munitions was discussed, because, according to him, there is already a need for them on the battlefield.
