China’s special representative Li Hui will visit Ukraine on May 16-17 to discuss the "political settlement" of the war.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was reported by Reuters with reference to a Ukrainian government official.

As the source of the agency reported, Lee will visit Ukraine on Tuesday and Wednesday, the government official did not provide additional information.

A representative of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the details of Li's itinerary will be made public later.

As previously reported, China's special representative for Eurasian affairs, in addition to Ukraine, will also visit Poland, France, Germany and Russia.

Earlier, during a telephone conversation, Chinese leader Xi Jinping promised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to send a special representative to the region. Later it became known that the former Chinese ambassador to Russia (from 2009 to 2019) Li Hui was appointed to this position.
