Ukrainian "peace formula" should be basis for ending war, - von der Leyen
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, spoke in favor of the "peace formula" proposed by Kyiv as the starting point of efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Ursula von der Leyen's statement about the Ukrainian peace plan coincided with the trip of China's top representative to several European capitals, the goal of which Beijing calls a "political settlement" of the war in Ukraine.
"There is nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine... We must never forget that it was Ukraine that suffered a brutal invasion. Therefore, it is she who must lay down the fundamental principles for a just peace," the President of the European Commission noted.
She welcomed the fact that Chinese leader Xi Jinping and the president of Ukraine recently held their first phone conversation, and stressed that Beijing should use its influence with Moscow to help end the war.
