"Today, 28 countries of the WHO European region accept victims of the war in Ukraine. More than 40 countries temporarily accept refugees from Ukraine. This is the majority. Thanks to this powerful support, we continue to fight and make the most important decisions. I want to thank our partners for their political and financial support for the issue of closing the WHO office of non-infectious diseases in Moscow and the delegation of its functions to the office in Copenhagen", - noted Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.
At the same time, he emphasized Ukraine's readiness to significantly strengthen its involvement in the work of the office in the new status and make every effort to ensure that the experience gained by the country's health care system during the war and in the reconstruction process was also successfully transformed into global solutions to combat non-communicable diseases.
