As reported by Censor.NET with reference to channel 24, this was reported by Serhiy Cherevaty, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to him, despite the fact that the Ukrainian troops do not have an advantage over the enemy either in means of destruction or in manpower, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully conduct a defensive operation. Our fighters inflict maximum losses on the enemy and even counterattack.
"During this day, up to 500 meters were covered by our units in certain sections of the Bakhmut front," Cherevaty emphasized.
He also added that the Russian invaders are actively preparing for a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces, building fortifications. A system of trenches, and platoon/company strongholds has been built.
"Already now, the enemy has great respect for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Ukrainian soldier. He understands that now all these reports about ``we will raise an eyebrow and capture something'' are far behind us. That is why they are seriously preparing," the spokesman explained.
The most difficult period of the defense of the Bakhmut direction is now underway. The enemy inflicts incredible blows with various means of attack, primarily artillery, anti-aircraft missiles, and aviation. In fact, he destroys everything on which you can hold the defense.
"Our servicemen show miracles not only of courage and endurance, because you saw all these defeats by phosphorus bombs and various types of ammunition, but also of meticulousness, intelligence, military ingenuity," Cherevaty said.
