US will allow partners to transfer F-16 to Ukraine, but no requests have been received yet, - CNN

In recent weeks, Joe Biden’s administration has informed European allies that the United States will allow them to transfer American F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. However, no official requests have been made.

As reported by Censor.NET with reference to UP, CNN reported this based on information from sources.

It is reported that the White House is ready to decide growing pressure from the US Congress and allies over the intensification of Russian air attacks on Ukraine.

According to CNN, White House officials are currently unaware of any official requests from any of the allies to transfer F-16s to Ukraine, and US State Department officials, who are usually tasked with processing documents to approve such transfers to third parties, have not been instructed to begin work.

It is noted that since the F-16s have sensitive technologies, the US must permit the owners of the fighters to transfer them to third countries.
