The Speaker of the State Duma of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, stated that Poland, as a state, exists solely thanks to Russia and must pay for the aid provided by the USSR during the Second World War.

He wrote about this on his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.

Volodin claims that half of the territory of Poland became part of it "exclusively thanks to our country" after the Second World War.

"In the post-war period, the Soviet people, tearing themselves away from themselves, spent more than 750 billion dollars on the restoration and development of Poland according to today's estimates... Poland exists as a state only thanks to our country," added Volodin.

He accused the Poles of treachery, of demolishing Soviet monuments, closing Russian schools, and "stealing Russian property."

"Poland must return the territories acquired as a result of the Second World War and compensate our country for the funds spent on it in the war and post-war years," Volodin said.

We will remind you that the Second World War began in September 1939, when Hitler's Germany and the USSR invaded Poland and divided its territory between them.
