"In-depth communication" in action: Oleksiy Reznikov held talks with China’s Defense Minister
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov held talks with Minister of Defense of the People’s Republic of China General Li Shangfu. The meeting took place in Singapore, where the Shangri-La Security Summit is taking place.

The details of the conversation are currently unknown, the publication writes. At the same time, it recalls that Ukraine and China had previously agreed to "in-depth communication" on the settlement of the war.
"At the end of April, President Zelensky and Chinese leader Xi Jinping had a telephone conversation, following which Beijing appointed a special representative for "in-depth communication" on the settlement of the war. On May 17, Chinese Special Representative Li Hui arrived in Kyiv and held a series of meetings with the Ukrainian leadership in Kyiv. After that, the Chinese diplomat also held consultations in Poland, Germany and France," the newspaper writes.
As a reminder, the Shangri-La Dialogue, an Asian security summit, has started in Singapore, and is expected to focus on the issue of increased competition between the United States and China.
China also rejected the US request for a meeting between the defense ministers of the two countries.
