China may send another delegation to Europe to negotiate a settlement of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
This was stated by the country's special representative for Eurasian affairs Li Hui, Censor.NET reports with reference to Reuters.
He said his trip to Europe "may not lead to any immediate results."
"We felt that there was a big gap between the positions of both sides," Hui explained.
Aso remind, on May 16-17, the Chinese envoy came to Kyiv, where he met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. The Office of the President of Ukraine did not report anything about this meeting. At the end of the visit, Lee said that there is no "panacea" for war, and called on all parties to create conditions for peace talks.
After Kyiv and Warsaw, he went to Berlin, Paris, Brussels, and Moscow to talk with all parties about the "political settlement" of Russia's war against Ukraine.
The Wall Street Journal claims that Hui suggested to the negotiators that Russia leave control over the occupied territories. This is denied by both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
