Defenders of Ukraine have not yet started counteroffensive, everyone will see its beginning, - Danilov
The defense forces of Ukraine have not yet launched the planned counteroffensive to liberate the territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
This was stated in an interview with Reuters by the Secretary of the National Security Council Oleksiy Danilov, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.
"When all this starts, our military will decide. When we start a counteroffensive, everyone will know about it, they will see it," he said.
According to Danilov, the Russians mistakenly took the advance of the Ukrainian military in some places as the start of a major operation.
Danilov also said there was no doubt that Russia destroyed the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam on Tuesday, as the area had been occupied since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
"They (the Russians. - Ed.) had a military component. This was plan number one. They believed that we would advance in this direction. Their actions will not lead to the consequences they would like," the NSDC secretary added.
Danilov also noted that there can be no negotiations until the Russian troops leave the territory of Ukraine.
