"Today I've decided to resign, the letter is ready," - Kvitashvili

Ukrainian Health Minister Aleksandr Kvitashvili has announced his resignation.

As Censor.NET reports citing RBC.UA, the minister announced this today at a briefing.

"Today I've decided to resign, the letter is ready," Kvitashvili said.

"If my resignation will result in Verkhovna Rada voting for those draft laws that are ready, I am ready to sacrifice myself," he added.

He noted he is staying in Ukraine and is ready to help the new Minister of Health.
