In Oleshki and nearby settlements, which are now flooded, nine people are already known to have died.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the statement of the mayor of Oleshky, Yevhen Ryschuk, on the air of the telethon.

"Already by this hour, 8 bodies have literally been recovered. We can see that these will not be the last victims," the mayor said.

At the same time, he specified that, as of today, nine cases of death of residents of the Oleshky community due to flooding have been confirmed.

It will be recalled that on June 6, the Russians blew up the mined Kakhovka HPP. Because of this, a number of settlements in the Kherson region began to flood.

Residents of the cities and villages of the left-bank part of the region, which is under the control of the Russian Federation, suffered the most from the actions of the Russians. There was no evacuation of the civilian population.

Already yesterday, June 7, Ryschuk talked about three people who died due to flooding.
