Trudeau arrived in Kyiv on unannounced visit

On the morning of 10 June, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit.
As informed by Censor.NET with reference to Suspilne, CBC reports.
"Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a surprise visit to Kyiv on Saturday as the Ukrainian military launched its long-awaited counter-offensive to push the Russian army out of the occupied eastern and southern parts of the country," the statement said.
According to the newspaper, Trudeau arrived in the Ukrainian capital as the government is struggling to assess the damage and organise further evacuations downstream of the Dnipro River after the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam collapsed. The Prime Minister is in Ukraine with Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland.
"In Kyiv, Trudeau began his visit by laying wreaths at the Wall of Remembrance, a unique, deeply personal collection of photographs and inscriptions dedicated to those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war," the article says.
Trudeau's visit to Ukraine was planned in strict secrecy, journalists say. At the same time, the Canadian prime minister is visiting Kyiv amid a political crisis in Canada over China's alleged interference in the federal election and the sudden resignation of Special Rapporteur and former Governor General David Johnston, as well as after a week of intense efforts to extinguish raging wildfires in Quebec and elsewhere that have worsened air quality for tens of millions of people in Canada and the United States.
