Hackers linked to Russia attacked Swiss government websites

Swiss authorities have reported that several government websites have been attacked by the Russian-linked hacker group NoName. Criminals have carried out a DDoS attack.

As Censor.NET informs with reference to LB.UA, The Guardian writes about it.

It is assumed that the hacker attack took place against the background of the Swiss Parliament's preparation for a video address by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), "various websites of the Federal Administration and businesses affiliated with the Confederacy were unavailable."

"The NCSC is analyzing the attack together with the relevant administrative units and determining the appropriate measures," the message reads.

The agency does not connect today's attack with Zelensky's appeal. The NoName group was also behind a separate attack on the website of the Swiss parliament last week. They recruit people on social networks for their illegal activities.

It will be recalled that on May 5, Russian hackers from the same group disabled the website of the French Senate.
