US considers using frozen Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine
The United States is considering ways to use Russian assets to help rebuild Ukraine.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen commented on an initiative currently under development to give the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden the authority to confiscate Russian assets. They should then be transferred to an international trust fund for Ukraine's recovery.
"We are working on this issue with our allies and partners in the G7. Currently, most of Russia's assets are not in the United States," Yellen said.
According to her, it is extremely important that any further steps taken by the country are made after thorough consultations to develop a common approach.
"We are participating in these discussions. We're working to pinpoint exactly where these assets are located," the minister said.
