Lukashenko: Ukraine and Russian Federation could agree on "rent of Crimea" in March 2022

Oleksandr Lukashenko, who seized power in Belarus, claims that the delegations of Ukraine and Russia in March 2022 discussed, among other things, the issue of renting Crimea to achieve peace.
He stated this in an interview with Russian propagandists, Censor.NET reports with reference to the Belarusian state news agency Belta.
"Putin hands me a document that was initialed by the delegations. It's normal, even with regard to Crimea - the lease was kind of long there, with regard to Donbas, in the east... A normal agreement. If it was now - but now it's already impossible. Now it's the territory of Russia according to the Constitution. There was a normal project, and it was already agreed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would initial it, and then the heads of state would have to decide, sign, etc. It was a good process, but they refused it," Lukashenko said.
He also said that his youngest son Mykola allegedly played a major role in organizing the negotiations in March 2022 - he helped organize a telephone conversation with Zelensky, who, as a result, agreed to hold negotiations on the territory of Belarus. Later, the talks were moved to Istanbul.
Lukashenko added that, in his opinion, the West "cannot be trusted."
"There can only be one thing here. If we agree on a peace process, the war stops, no movement: no tanks, no troops. Just overturned, I think we should use nuclear weapons. That's the only way to talk to them. With them you can't have a dialogue and believe. They will deceive you," Lukashenko assured.
