US does not consider threat of ZNPP explosion "imminent" - Kirby
Despite the information about the placement of explosives on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, the United States does not consider the threat of its detonation "imminent."
This was stated by a representative of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrinform.
"I'm not going to go into specific intelligence, but I would say that we are following this very closely, we see these reports," he said in response to a request to comment on the Ukrainian side's statements about the activity of Russian troops in mining the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Kirby also reminded that the US side has the ability to monitor the radiation level around the nuclear power plant.
"We have not seen any indication that this threat is imminent, but we are watching very, very closely," he emphasized.
Recently, the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov reported that the occupiers had additionally mined Zaporizhzhia NPP.
