Prigozhin’s mutiny indicates cracks within authorities in Moscow, - Blinken

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called "Prigozhin’s rebellion" a challenge to Putin’s power. The official considers the attempt of an armed rebellion led by the head of PMC "Wagner" to be "a direct challenge to Putin’s power."
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Voice of America.
"You see the discord in the ranks, and you don't need a satellite to know that," Blinken said. He also considers the situation with the opposition of the Wagnerites and the official authorities of the Russian Federation to be a "fundamentally internal affair" of Russia, with which "the Russians and Putin will have to reckon." In general, this indicates "cracks within the authorities in Moscow", which "are not a secret", says the state secretary.
He also recalled that Prigozhin, conducting a long polemic with Putin, questioned the very baseless premise of the war, as if NATO or Ukraine posed a threat to Russia.
Blinken, on the other hand, once again assured that the United States is focused on supporting Ukraine. The State Secretary believes that the consequences of the armed uprising can be useful for Ukraine's counteroffensive - "to the extent that Moscow is distracted by its own internal differences."
"I think there is some opportunity here, but this is just the beginning, I think it will be reflected not in the next days, but in the next weeks and months," Blinken suggests.
