ZNPP managed to be connected to backup power line, - Grossi (updated)

For the first time in four months, the Zaporizhzhia NPP was connected to a backup power line.
This was reported by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, Censor.NET reports with a link to the IAEA website.
"The Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has been reconnected to the only available backup power line four months after losing access to it. However, the power supply situation at the site remains extremely fragile due to the ongoing armed conflict," Grossi noted.
It is noted that the connection to the last of the six backup lines was disrupted in March due to hostilities.
Grossi emphasized that the connection of ZNPP to the 330 kV line is extremely important since in recent months the ZNPP has relied on a single 750 kV trunk line for external electricity, which is needed to cool the reactors and operate other systems. Before the invasion, the station had four such lines.
"While the reconnection of the backup power line is a positive development, the plant's external power supply remains very unstable, making the nuclear safety situation at the site very fragile," Grossi concluded.
Ukrenergo confirmed this information. "Repair crews have been waiting for several months for access to this line to carry out restoration work. However, constant enemy shelling did not allow our specialists to start work," the message says.
During the war, the ZNPP completely lost its external power supply seven times, and the station was powered by emergency generators.
