Valery Gerasimov will remain in the post of Chief of the General Staff, but operations in Ukraine will now be managed by Colonel-General Mykhailo Teplinsky, commander of the Airborne Forces.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Daily Mail.

"An enraged Vladimir Putin fired Gerasimov from the post of commander of the Russian forces in Ukraine. Personnel reshuffles took place immediately after the return of the "Azov" to Ukraine. The general was removed less than six months after his appointment," the newspaper writes.

Z-warriors also reported on the removal of Gerasimov, saying that it was connected both to the "Wagnerians" and to a failed military strategy.
