Ukraine will be invited to NATO when it is agreed that membership conditions meet necessary needs, - Stoltenberg

NATO expects that Ukraine’s advancement to the Alliance may even be without aspects of the MAP. The allies can extend the invitation when they agree that the terms of Ukraine’s membership meet the necessary needs.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"Member countries will consider the aspirations of Ukraine to be a member of NATO and the future place of Ukraine, of course, in NATO. I expect that we will agree that the promotion can even be without aspects of the MAP. And we will extend an appropriate invitation to Ukraine and join the Alliance when the members of NATO will agree that the conditions meet the necessary needs," Stoltenberg said.
According to the Secretary General, the allies "will strengthen support for Ukraine to bring it closer to NATO." For this, the member states will cooperate more closely. Also, the decisions will relate to bringing Ukraine closer to membership in the Alliance, including a multi-year support package, and the transition of the Armed Forces from Soviet equipment to equipment of NATO standards.
"We will ensure full interoperability of the Armed Forces with NATO member countries. We also include support in demining, fuel and lubricants, and medical equipment. We will increase our political ties. President Zelensky will join us at the inaugural meeting of the new Ukraine-NATO Council," added Stoltenberg.
