In exchange for joining NATO, Sweden will help Turkey get closer to EU, - Stoltenberg

Stockholm will provide assistance to Ankara in rapprochement with the European Union within the framework of agreements on the earliest possible entry of Sweden into NATO.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Censor.NET reports with reference to European Pravda.
"What Sweden has agreed to as an EU member today is to actively support Turkey's efforts to revive the EU accession process and help modernize the customs union of Turkey and the EU and visa liberalization," he said.
Stoltenberg emphasized that NATO is not involved in the relations between Turkey and the European Union, but Sweden as an EU member can contribute to them, and he welcomes the agreement between the two states.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has agreed to support Sweden's bid to join NATO.
