We must create clear path for Ukraine to join NATO, - Duda
NATO should create a clear and understandable path to the Alliance for Ukraine.
This was stated by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"We must create a direct and clear path for Ukraine to join NATO," the Polish leader said.
He noted that Poland cares about the interests of its eastern neighbor - Ukraine, which has been defending itself against Russian aggression for more than a year.
"It is in our interests for Russia to withdraw from the occupied territories of Ukraine and for the international order to be restored. We believe that NATO, as an alliance, will support Ukraine and conduct an effective policy," Duda emphasized.
He expressed hope that Sweden will soon become a member of NATO. According to him, this will significantly strengthen NATO, especially in the north of Europe.
