Erdogan and Sunak discussed continuation of "grain agreement" in Ukraine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held bilateral communication and discussed topics related to Ukraine, including the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

"President Erdogan briefed the Prime Minister on President Zelensky's recent visit to Turkey and the leaders agreed on the importance of achieving the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the government said in a statement cited by Downing Street.
They also confirmed their commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries and strengthening cooperation in the defense and security spheres.
We remind you that the grain agreement expires next week. Russia stated that it saw no reason to extend it beyond July 17.
