Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled several attacks in Kupiansk sector without losing positions - Ministry of Defense
In Bakhmut sector, south of Bakhmut, Ukrainian troops are gradually advancing.
This was stated in Telegram channel by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar, іnforms Censor.NЕТ.
According to her, the fighting continues in the area of Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka and Andriyivka.
"The fighting is quite fierce. The enemy is firing intensively. We are repelling enemy attacks north of Bakhmut," elaborated the official.
She also informs that the enemy is attacking in the Kupyansk sector, trying to drive us out of our dominant heights. Today, our defenders repelled several attacks without losing positions.
In the Liman sector, several enemy attacks in the vicinity of Serebryansky forest were also repelled today.
Earlier, Malyar noted that the enemy is unsuccessfully trying to push our defense in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions.
On July 25, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalev, said that Ukrainian troops had succeeded in the direction of Staromayorske on the southern front. Later, Major Valeriy Shershen, spokesman for the Joint Press Center of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Tauride sector, said that Ukrainian defenders had managed to advance 500 meters along the front line near the village of Staromayorske.
The General Staff reported today that the Defense Forces are advancing at the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating the achieved positions near Staromayorsk.
