President of European Council Michelle and President of European Parliament Metsola congratulated Ukraine on Statehood Day

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, congratulated on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, emphasizing the state’s solidarity and support for Ukraine.
As Censor.NET writes, Michel and Metsola wrote about it on Twitter.
"Today I join the brave Ukrainians in celebrating Statehood Day, while Russia continues to wage a war of aggression against the people of Ukraine and on its territory, influencing the whole world," said the President of the European Council.
He emphasized that the EU supports and will continue to support Ukraine "as much as necessary".
"Courage and strength are needed to resist the invasion. Despite the indiscriminate and senseless attack, Ukrainians are incredibly brave.
By joining in the celebration of Statehood Day, we confirm solidarity with those who are fighting for the protection of our values - freedom, democracy, and peace," wrote the President of the European Parliament.
As a reminder, on July 28, Ukraine celebrates Statehood Day, the Baptism Day of Rus-Ukraine, and the Day of Remembrance of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr.
Statehood Day was established by the decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on August 24, 2021, signed during the celebrations of the thirtieth anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
