Church of Moscow Patriarchate was burned down in Chernihiv region

On the night of August 20, in the village of Haliavyn in the Chernihiv region, unknown persons set fire to the Church of the Holy Trinity, which belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The head of the village Alla Lisova told about this in a comment to Ukrinform, Censor.NET informs.
"The church belongs to the Moscow Patriarchate. There were no threats of arson. People woke up and saw the fire around two o'clock in the morning. A canister was lying nearby. Unknown people poured gasoline on the door of the church and set it on fire," said the elder.
According to her, the roof of the temple is reinforced concrete, so the main structures survived. However, the community will have to make a lot of effort to restore the temple.
According to the head of the village, there were no special valuables in the church, and there were also no threats to set fire to the church. Everything that happened is a complete surprise for local residents.
