Surovikin was dismissed from position of commander of Russian Air Force, - Russian journalists
General Sergey Surovikin with the call sign "Armageddon" was dismissed from the position of commander of the Air and Space Forces of the Russian Federation.
Oleksiy Venediktov, the former editor-in-chief of the Echo of Moscow radio station, wrote about this on his Telegram channel with reference to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
He also writes that the decree also states that Surovikin will be left at the disposal of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak writes that, according to her data, Surovikin was dismissed by secret decree on August 18.
