Six pilots died during combat mission in Bakhmut direction

On 29 August, six pilots from the 18th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after Igor Sikorsky were killed in the Bakhmut sector. It happened during a combat mission.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported to Suspilne by the brigade's spokesman, Yevhen Rakita.
The victims had officer ranks. One of them was from Poltava region, the rest were from other regions of Ukraine, the spokesman added.
They are to say goodbye in Poltava. The memorial service will be held on 1 September at 10:00 am at the Holy Dormition Cathedral.
The pilot from Poltava region will be buried at his place of residence, while the others will be taken to the regions where they come from.
For now, the names and circumstances of the deaths are not being disclosed for security reasons, says Yevhen Rakita.
According to the UP, on 29 August, military Mi-8 helicopters crashed in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region. The aircraft were completely destroyed.
The bodies of six dead soldiers were found at the site.
