AFU achieved some success against second line of Russian defense, - Kirby
In the United States, the progress of the armed forces in the counteroffensive in the south, which they have achieved in the last 72 hours, is celebrated.
This was stated by the coordinator of strategic communications of the US National Security Council, John Kirby, Censor.NET reports with reference to AFP.
Kirby noted that the United States had observed a "significant advance of Ukrainian armed forces" south of Zaporizhzhia over the past 72 hours.
"They (AFU. - Ed.) achieved some success against the second line of Russian defense," he noted.
Separately, he responded to criticism of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, noting that it is "useless" to criticize a partner and friend who is trying to make progress in the fight against a violent regime.
