Defense forces repelled Russian attacks in Bakhmut, Mariinka, Avdiivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, - General Staff
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 6:00 p.m. on September 10, 2023.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the official Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The evening report reads: "The five hundred and sixty-fourth day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country continues.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
Over the last day, 25 combat engagements took place. The Russian Federation also conducted another air strike with Iranian Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs in the Kyiv region. The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense systems of other components of the Defence Forces, destroyed 26 of the 33 enemy "Shaheds". In total, the enemy launched 5 missiles and 81 air strikes, fired 27 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and settlements.
Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Over 100 private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy conducted air strikes near Kostiantynivka in the Sumy region and Vesele and Ohirtseve in the Kharkiv region. More than 25 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Hremyach in the Chernihiv region; Shalyhino, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Iskryskivshchyna in the Sumy region; and Karaichne, Zemlianky in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Synkivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. Sinkivka, Kucherivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka and Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, Novoiehorivka, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Spirne in the Donetsk region came under air strikes. Artillery and mortar shelling hit more than 20 localities, including Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Sievesk, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Berestove, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully held back the enemy in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Klishchiyivka, and Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region. At the same time, Khromove and New York in the Donetsk region came under air strikes. More than 25 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Keramika and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike in the area of Avdiivka. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Mariinka over the last day. About 15 localities, including Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Heorhiivka, Illinka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, and Elizavetivka in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted air strikes near Staromayorsk in the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Shakhterske, Novomayorske, and Urozhayne in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. At the same time, Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region came under air strikes. Artillery and mortar shelling affected more than 30 localities, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Burhunka in the Kherson region, Pervomaiskye, and Zmiiny islands. Beryslav, Tomaryne, Antonivka, Kherson, and Veletynske in the Kherson region came under artillery and mortar fire.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy and liberating the occupied territories step by step. As a result of the assault operations, the Defence Forces achieved partial success in the areas of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, forcing the enemy from their positions and consolidating their positions.
Over the course of the day, the Defence Forces' aviation carried out 10 strikes on the areas where the enemy's personnel and military equipment were concentrated.
Missile troops destroyed 8 enemy artillery units.
