Drone attack on Lviv: three hits in industrial warehouses. VIDEO&PHOTOS
During the air raid, which began at 03:40 on 19 September and lasted almost 2.5 hours, Lviv region was attacked by Shahed kamikaze drones. Three hits were recorded on industrial warehouses in Lviv.
This was reported on Facebook by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, Censor.NET reports.
According to preliminary information, 18 such drones were flying towards the region. 15 of them were shot down. Seven were shot down directly in the airspace of Lviv region. The figures may change slightly, the information is being updated.
"Unfortunately, there were three hits to industrial warehouses in Lviv. Fortunately, there were no casualties. One person was injured. He is a 26-year-old man who was in the warehouse at the time of the attack. He was hospitalised. He is in moderate condition. There was also a woman at the scene who did not need hospitalisation," the statement said.
Kozitsky also notes that there are fires in four locations in the warehouses. The fires are still being extinguished.
"I want to emphasise that these are ordinary industrial warehouses. Nothing military was stored there. I am very grateful to our Air Defence Forces for not taking lives and homes of the residents of the region. I am grateful to the rescuers and law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene promptly and acted in a very coordinated manner," the head of the region summarises.
It should be noted that earlier Kozitsky reported that the victim was in serious condition.
Later, the Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs published a photo of the aftermath of the shelling.
"Lviv. Around 5am, Russian UAVs attacked the city. There are victims as a result of falling debris. Three warehouse buildings were damaged, followed by a fire on an area of 9,450 square metres. Firefighting is ongoing," the statement said.
On the night and early morning of 19 September, the Air Force reportedly informed about the threat of attack UAVs.
"Strike UAVs are in the airspace of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytskyi regions. Combat operations are ongoing! Do not leave your shelters!" the air force warned.
Later, it became known that the enemy had attacked Lviv with Shaheds, and the roof of an industrial warehouse was on fire. Explosions were also heard in the Khmelnytsky region, and air defence was operating.
Censor.NET also reported an explosion in Kryvyi Rih. In total, according to the Air Force, 27 out of 30 Shaheds were destroyed.
