Lithuania to hand over two NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine
Lithuania will soon transfer two NASAMS systems to Ukraine, as well as the equipment needed to get through the cold season.
This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anusauskas, Censor.NET informs with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Our new military support package includes the supply of two NASAMS launchers that we bought in the summer, 155mm ammunition and winter supplies such as power generators, army folding beds and clothing. Training and rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers is also ongoing," the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Anusauskas also thanked the states that have joined or plan to join the emerging demining coalition.
"The priority now is demining equipment, which Lithuania and other countries could help purchase, and we want to allocate a significant part of our funds for this purpose," the minister said.
