Several allies will help Israel, Stoltenberg says

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that several Allies will provide assistance to Israel in connection with the recent events.
He said this following a meeting of NATO defence ministers, which was also attended by the Israeli defence minister, Censor.NET reports citing European Pravda.
"Today, several allies reported that they are providing practical assistance to Israel and are doing everything possible to help the affected citizens," Stoltenberg said, without specifying which countries he was referring to.
Stoltenberg noted that Israel has the right to defend itself, and it is important to take care of the protection of civilians.
"The allies have also been clear about this. There are rules of warfare, there is the concept of proportionality. Many have emphasised this while condemning the atrocities for which Hamas is responsible," Jens Stoltenberg said.
"No state or organisation hostile to Israel should try to take advantage of the situation and escalate it," the Secretary General said, later adding that he was referring in particular to Hezbollah and Iran.
