Scholz promises Zelenskyy that Germany will continue to support Ukraine

Today, October 20, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation to discuss the current situation in Ukraine.
Federal government spokesman Steffen Gebeshreit told journalists in Berlin, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.
"Today Chancellor Scholz spoke by phone with the President of Ukraine Zelenskyy and discussed with him the political, military and humanitarian situation in Ukraine," the spokesman said.
President Zelenskyy informed about the consequences of recent Russian attacks and thanked the German government for military support, especially for strengthening Ukrainian air defense as part of the second winter package.
The chancellor confirmed permanent and unwavering solidarity with Ukraine in the face of Russia's ongoing aggression.
"He assured that Germany will continue to support Ukraine, including in the military sphere, in close coordination with European and international partners," Gebeshreit said.
The Chancellor of Germany and the President of Ukraine agreed to continue the constructive exchange of information with the aim of global support for a peaceful solution and to maintain close contacts.
