Lyman-Kupiansk direction remains one of hottest, with enemy forces amounting to 100,000
The enemy keeps trying to recapture Kupiansk.
This was reported by the head of the public relations service of the Land Forces Command, Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Fitio, during a telethon, Censor.NET reports citing ArmyInform.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy made 613 attacks in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction, 9 air strikes, and 17 firefights took place. At the same time, 194 militants were eliminated. The enemy did not achieve any strategic success here.
The size of the enemy grouping in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction has not changed due to the deployment of reserves to restore destroyed units and is about 100,000.
"The situation near Bakhmut remains tense but under control. Our servicemen are in active defence and at any good opportunity go on the offensive and improve their tactical position," said the spokesman.
Over the last day, 15 firefights took place near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka, and over 100 occupants were killed. The number of attacks here remains extremely high - 466 attacks, the enemy used 13 kamikaze drones and carried out 3 air strikes by Su-2 aircraft.
"At the same time, yesterday was a fruitful day in this sector. In particular, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 2 MSTA-B howitzers, 2 D-20 howitzers and 2 more D-30 howitzers," added Fitio.
