Commander of enemy company admitted that effectiveness of Ukrainian drones does not allow "Proryv" tanks to fire during day. VIDEO
The commander of a Russian tank company using T-90m Proryv tanks operating in the Klishchiyivka area near Bakhmut spoke about the high combat effectiveness of Ukrainian drones, which prevents Russian tankers from approaching the front line and firing directly.
The corresponding video was posted on Facebook by Censor.NET editor-in-chief Yurii Butusov, Censor.NET reports.
"It is not often that the enemy officially declares the successful actions of our troops and certain types of weapons. According to a Russian tanker, who was quoted by the Russian Ministry of Defence, Proryv tanks do not fire during the day because they are destroyed by FPV drones during the day, and Russian tanks fire only at night, not by direct fire, but from a distance of 8-9 km, i.e. as self-propelled artillery. The tanks are based far from the front, and to fire, they move out from the rear to avoid being hit by drones," Butusov quoted the Russian occupier as saying.
"A phenomenal result. This video shows that drones have become a key factor in the war and are capable of changing the tactics of all other means of warfare. And a lot of respect to those enthusiasts and true heroes who, on their own initiative and at their own expense and the expense of volunteers, created units of attack drones on FPV drones, reconnaissance wings and mavic, and multicopters that inflict heavy losses on Russian armoured vehicles. You are great war heroes and deserve the highest honours. It's nice that in the direction of Klishchiivka, Russian tanks are destroying Asgard and Mechanika units with Fpv drones, some of the Wild Hornets drones are supplied for this work at the expense of Censor.NET readers," the journalist says.
"I concluded from the report that we should also raise funds to purchase night-time thermal imaging cameras for FPV drones," he concludes.
