As reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, told about this.

As Syrsky reported, the situation in the Eastern direction remains difficult, the enemy does not stop trying to find weak points in our defense. In particular, in the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carries out constant attacks by assault units, trying to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their occupied positions.

"With the forces of the 6th combined arms and 1st tank armies, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the area of the Kupiansk forest, Pershotravneve, and Orlyanske. It is intensifying its efforts to capture the commanding heights, capture Synkivka, and create favorable conditions for the capture of Kupiansk," said the colonel-general.

In addition, the enemy is carrying out assault operations in this direction with the use of "Storm "V" and "Storm "Z" assault units and replenishes the losses of its military units with personnel who have undergone training at training grounds in the Russian Federation.

"To the south, in the direction of Yahidne - Kupyansk-Vuzlovy, the enemy suffered significant losses and stopped active operations.
Currently, the enemy is regrouping in this area to resume their offensive. Accumulates reserves and concentrates artillery groups. It does not stop intensive artillery fire," said Sirskyi.

He informed that over the last week in the Kupiansk direction, the occupiers lost 583 personnel, of which 220 were killed, 358 were wounded, and 5 enemy servicemen were captured. Also, during this same period, the enemy lost 46 pieces of equipment in this direction, including 15 tanks and 25 armored fighting vehicles.
