Poland welcomes decision of European Commission on Ukraine’s European integration - Duda

Polish President Andrzej Duda welcomes the decision of the European Commission to start negotiations with Ukraine on EU membership.
The President of Poland wrote about this on social network X (former Twitter), Censor.NET reports.
"The enlargement of the European Union is one of the priorities of Poland's presidency of the Council of the EU in 2025. Therefore, I am satisfied with the decision of the European Commission, which recommends starting accession negotiations with Ukraine, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina and granting Georgia EU candidate status," he said.
Duda added that Warsaw has long actively supported the aspirations of these countries to join the EU.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, in turn, expressed hope for a "positive decision of EU leaders in December."
"We must maintain the high dynamics of enlargement in relation to the Eastern Trio (Associated Trio - Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia. - Ed.) and the countries of the Western Balkans," the Polish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
As Censor.NET reported, on Wednesday, November 8, the European Commission recommended that the European Council open enlargement negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova. She also recommended opening negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, under certain conditions, and granting candidate country status to Georgia.
