Slovak road carriers blocked border with Ukraine for hour
Representatives of the Union of Slovak Road Carriers (UNAS) blocked the border crossing point with Ukraine Vyšné Nemecké for an hour.

Road carriers blocked the road to the crossing for cars on November 16 from 13:00 to 14:00.
UNAS demands that Brussels immediately introduce permits for the transportation of Ukrainian trucks, as European companies cannot compete with them. Road carriers in Slovakia threaten that if the European Commission does not resolve the situation, the border with Ukraine will be blocked permanently.
"If there is no progress, the Poles will continue to block their border, and we will join them in blocking the entire Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint. We will be forced, because there is no other way," UNAS chairman Stanislav Skala said. He added that their Hungarian colleagues have declared their readiness to act in the same way.
At the same time, the spokeswoman of the Slovak customs administration, Katarina Danková, said that the temporary blockade did not affect the work of the Vyšné Nemecké customs.
It should be recalled that on November 6, a protest action by Polish carriers began on the Polish-Ukrainian border. The checkpoints "Korchova - Krakivets", "Hrebenne - Rava-Ruska", "Dorohusk - Yahodyn" were blocked for the passage of freight transport.
