German Defense Minister Pistorius arrived in Kyiv

On the morning of 21 November, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit.

The German Ministry of Defence said the purpose of the visit was to reaffirm Berlin's support for Ukraine. The main topics of the trip will be training for Ukrainian soldiers and military assistance to Kyiv.
In the afternoon, Pistorius is scheduled to hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov, as well as with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In addition to political talks, the visit includes a wreath-laying ceremony on Independence Square, where pro-European protests began ten years ago, and a visit to a Ukrainian military training center, DW reports.
