Umierov commented on possible release of Naiev and Tarnavskyi
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umierov commented on the possible dismissal of Serhii Naiev from the post of Commander of the Joint Forces and Oleksandr Tarnavskyi from the post of Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Forces of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"There are issues that were transitional before I was appointed minister. We are all in constant contact with the General Staff and I communicate with all commanders, if such things happen, then they happen on issues that were either raised earlier, or are discussed in order for us to achieve greater efficiency," the minister said, answering questions during a briefing with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Defense noted that for him personally, the challenge now is "NATO standards, principles and what the troops need", and for Ukraine's partners it is important that we speak the same language, because we want to "come to NATO and these standards are very important."
"And the topic of the change of commanders, it goes through all the parameters that we discuss internally within our perimeter. That is, in this regard, I must say that the decision has not yet been made, but we are doing everything possible to increase efficiency. If this happens, we will always communicate about it very openly," Umierov said.
According to Ukrainska Pravda sources, Defence Minister Rustem Umierov is preparing a submission for the dismissal of Tetiana Ostashchenko, Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Forces, and Serhii Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On November 19, at the request of the Minister of Defense, Zelenskyy dismissed the commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Tetiana Ostashchenko.
