This was stated by the spokesman of the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, Oleksandr Shtupun, on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"Today, the enemy tried to move forward. Several mechanized columns with armored vehicles were thrown forward. About a dozen and a half. But he lost almost 80% of the equipment, our guys destroyed them," Shtupun said.
According to him, the rest of these columns have retreated and heavy fighting is currently taking place in this area of the front.
"The invaders do not stop trying to surround Avdiivka. Unsuccessfully, they stormed east of Novobakhmutivka, in the areas of Avdiivka, Sieverne and Pervomaiske. Over the past day, 13 attacks were repelled," Shtupun added.
