In the east and south of Ukraine, fighting continues despite rainy weather, which slows down the pace before the onset of winter conditions.

This is stated in the latest report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Censor.NET reports.

It is noted that geolocation data published on November 19 indicates that Ukrainian forces have advanced near the railway southeast of Stepove (3 km northwest of Avdiyivka). In addition, according to one of the Russian military officers, Ukrainian forces repulsed positions near the railway near Stepove and counterattacked near the Avdiivka Сoke Plant.

At the same time, ISW analysts add, Russian troops conducted offensive operations near Avdiivka, but did not achieve any confirmed successes on November 19.

Russian "war correspondents" claimed on 18 and 19 November that Russian forces had advanced in the area of the industrial zone on the southeastern outskirts of Avdiivka, the Avdiivka Coke Plant, and the railway west and northwest of Krasnohorivka (5km northwest of Avdiivka).

In addition, a Russian "war correspondent" stated on November 19 that units of the Russian 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade (1st Army Corps "DPR" (Donetsk People's Republic)) and Shtorm-Z units had advanced near the Tsarska Okhota restaurant south of Avdiivka, but later retracted this statement after other Russian sources denied the statement.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked south of Novokalynove (13 km northeast of Avdiivka), east of Novobakhmutivka (9 km northwest of Avdiivka), and near Sieverne (6 km west of Avdiivka) and Avdiivka.

On November 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also continued operations in the eastern (left bank) of the Kherson region. In particular, the districts of Poima (12 km east of the city of Kherson and 4 km from the Dnipro River) and Pishchanivka (13 km east of the city of Kherson and 3 km from the Dnipro River) were attacked, while Russian troops counterattacked in Krynky (30 km northeast of the city of Kherson and 2 km from the Dnipro River). It is claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using modified Baba Yaga drones to damage Russian TOS thermobaric artillery systems on the eastern bank, highlighting the vulnerability of Russian air defenses in the area.

At the same time, Russian sources claimed that on November 18 and 19, the occupiers attacked near Pervomaiske (10 km southwest of Avdiivka) and Sieverne; west of Krasnohorivka; south of the slagheap, northwest of Avdiivka; east of the coke plant; in the direction of Novokalynove; and from the industrial zone southeast of Avdiivka.

Russian sources also claimed that on November 18 and 19, hostilities were taking place in the area of the industrial zone, the coke plant, as well as in the area of the Stepove village.
