Germany will continue to stand with Ukraine, supporting it with weapons, financially and in the process of reconstruction.
This was stated by Vice Chancellor, Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Robert Habeck, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"Putin continues his war against Ukraine with all the terrible cruelty... We will keep our word and continue to stand by Ukraine's side in its fight for freedom - with weapons, money, reconstruction," Habeck assured.
He noted that there is currently uncertainty in Germany and throughout Europe, that much has changed in recent years from what Europeans have believed for too long, in particular, that there will never be another war in Europe, that the United States will always stand in defense of Europe, that cheap Russian gas will ensure the competitiveness of the economy in the long term. Now we need to take the world as it is and take it seriously. Germany is under pressure and everyone feels it, said the Vice Chancellor of Germany.
"We are still fighting against the fact that Putin is using our dependence on his gas, a dependence that we (the Greens) have always warned about, in order to bring us to our knees economically," the economy minister said. The fact that the Russian president failed to do so is the result of the necessary steps being taken, but it is too early to assume that everything has passed, Habeck warned.
