Slovak carriers blocked movement of trucks to Ukraine through Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod checkpoint
Slovak carriers have blocked truck traffic at the Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod checkpoint.
This was announced by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Colonel Andriy Demchenko, in a comment to Ukrainska Pravda, Censor.NET reports.
"In the course of cooperation with Slovak border guards, we received information about the beginning of the blocking of truck traffic in the direction of the Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod checkpoints. Slovak carriers are partially blocking the freight direction.
According to available information, the blockade may be permanent," he said.
According to Demchenko, about 900 trucks are currently queuing up in Slovakia to cross into Ukraine.
The officer reminded that, according to the Slovak side, the blockers promised to let 4 vehicles per hour pass to Ukraine and not to block the movement of humanitarian goods, fuel and other important cargo.
Traffic for trucks entering Slovakia will be provided as usual.
If the Slovak side provides any other information, the State Border Guard Service will provide additional information.
