UK hands over Martlet missiles to Ukraine - Times
Ukraine has received Martlet missiles from the United Kingdom to help fight enemy drones.
According to Censor.NET, with reference to RBC-Ukraine, The Times reports.
The publication notes that the United Kingdom has provided Ukraine with some of its latest weapons to combat Shahed kamikaze drones. We are talking about Martlet missiles.
However, there has been no official announcement of this type of military aid yet.
The Martlet missile is a lightweight, multi-purpose guided missile developed for the UK military by Thales Air Defense.
The UK Ministry of Defense has placed an initial order for 1,000 missiles, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2013. However, initial operational capability was acquired in 2021, and full operational capability is expected in 2024.
