Russian army advanced in industrial zone near Avdiivka, - ISW
On 6 December, the Russian occupation forces conducted offensive operations near Avdiivka and achieved a small success in the city’s industrial area.

Geo-location footage released on 6 December shows that Russian forces have made minor advances in an industrial area southeast of Avdiivka.
Ukraine's General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled at least 25 attacks east of Novobakhmutivka (7km north-west of Avdiivka), north-east of Berdychiv (4km north of Avdiivka), as well as near Avdiivka, Stepove (3km north of Avdiivka), Severne (6km west of Avdiivka), Tonenke (5km west of Avdiivka) and Pervomaiske (11km southwest of Avdiivka).
The footage, published on 5 December, allegedly shows units of the Russian 87th and 1487th regiments (1st Army Corps of the DPR), the 10th Tank Regiment (3rd Army Corps, Western Military District), and the "Veterans" Sabotage and Assault Brigade operating in the industrial area southeast of Avdiivka.
Ukrainian forces counterattacked near Avdiivka and confirmed the advance. Geolocation footage released on 5 December showed Ukrainian troops advancing on Stepove.
On 6 December, a Russian military blogger said that Ukrainian troops were holding their positions in the center of Stepove despite Russian attacks.
