Kuleba: IOC gave Russia green light to use Olympics as weapon
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on partners to strongly condemn the International Olympic Committee’s decision to allow Russians and Belarusians to participate in the Paris Olympics under a neutral flag.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy said this on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.
"The IOC has actually given Russia the green light to arm itself with the help of the Olympics. Because the Kremlin will use every Russian and Belarusian athlete as a weapon in its propaganda war. I call on all partners to strongly condemn this shameful decision that undermines Olympic principles," Kuleba said.
As reported, the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris under a neutral flag.
